Our first job….

Ok to be honest it was free, to help us build a portfolio of work, but it was a start.

I think something I didnt factor in was real estates using established relationships with our photographer suppliers.

But thats ok, I think my years at Virgin Airlines, have helped me have that business mentality like Richard Branson, lets shake things up, lets change the normal ways of business.

Change always causes resistance and hesitation, and we are hoping that by pushing the boundaries we can change the normal ways of doing business in this region.

I guess Northern NSW, and especially the Tweed Heads region is a bit more tradition in how it does real estate photography.

But Covid has taught us, that the old ways are changing and we now work remotely, there isn’t the need to go into the office 9-5 any more and we work towards a new hybrid model of working.

So as it is with real estate photography, the traditional ways were to look up a area you like, view a few photos and then attend an open house.

Those days are going, the new way is you look at property online, do some googling about the area and you purchase, without probably ever stepping inside the property first.

And this is where My 3D Homes comes into play. We are using the Matterport P2 camera. Which is a new generation of camera, in fact it has multiple 4K cameras combined with infrared lasers to take hyper accurate measures of a space (be it a room in a home, to an area in a commercial building).

Combined with the software it turns this imagery into a highly accurate 3D model, which you can view from the comfort of your smart device.

You can even use the photos to measure if your new fridge or couch will fit in the house you intend on buying!

So yesterday we captured our neighbours house that is for sale, and it felt so good just to make a start, even if it was free! Check it out yourself here:

We hope this is an new beginning for us and it leads to some more work in the future.
