Interesting in the past few months Facebook is moving towards a new future calling itself the Meta.
Facebook and its owner have a vision of an immersive 3D space in which you conduct your life and daily activities, a blended world between the computer world and the real world.
We started My 3D Home with that concept in mind, about creating a digital and immersive space of real structures.
My 3D Home focuses on bringing a digital twin of your home, holiday rental, business or event to the world.
A big benefit of our camera and software system is that is not a computer program, we use many hundreds of 4K quality photos, combined with an infrared camera system to help measures the spaces we are capturing to give a realistic view of the space.
Our specialist software then takes the photos and infrared measurements to build a frame to create a truly 3D space for you to immerse yourself in, to measure, to share and to help build a truly customer centric focus for your clients.
So what exactly does the Matterport camera system do, that My 3D Home uses?
We connect our Matterport camera to a smart device and let the software and automation go to work, taking hundreds of photos and measurements in a 360 degree scan.
We can scan a typical room in a matter of a few minutes, with most homes or business being completely scanned in less than 1 hour.
Once completed we then upload our scans to the Matterport software system for processing, which can take up to 24 hours to stich together all the photos into an interactive 3D space.

Once the space is scanned and the software returns the model to us, this is where we can do a huge number of customisations to the model, to suit the clients needs. We can tag spaces (allowing us to insert weblinks, media files, social media and interactive presentations).
Tags within a model really help to highlight the main features of a space and help to draw and eye line for your customers to move towards and click on. It helps take the 3D tour to a new level of a truly interactive space for your customers.
We can also blur out content with the scan (such as family photos on walls) to help de-identify spaces to help maintain privacy for your clients.
Once we have finished editing the 3D space, we can then share it with the world! Websites, social media and even google street view!
So give the team a My 3D Home a call today to see how we can help grow your business!
